Deeper Change is a systemic and diverse psychotherapy group with locations in South Plainfield, NJ, West Orange, NJ and in Greenwich Village/Union Square in Manhattan. Jeanette Williams and her team of practitioners are committed to providing quality, evidence-based care to individuals, couples, and families, regardless of background, orientation, and/or gender expression. It is our mission for our clients to gain a more compassionate, balanced understanding of themselves and their greater world. We primarily work with adults, though we have providers who work collaboratively with teens and parents. We offer treatment for anxiety, trauma, loss and grief, relationship issues, parenting concerns, couples issues, career and life transitions, and more.
We are a holistic and humanistic therapy group that collectively embraces healing through empowerment for our clients. Our diverse team of therapists draw from a rich well of resources and share the belief that therapy is a creative and collaborative process. In addition to being graduates of respected clinical training programs, our licensed therapists are trained and certified in a multitude of modalities rooted in systemic philosophy. Our Manhattan, South Plainfield, NJ and West Orange, NJ offices are spaces of healing, where clients can find a sense of acceptance and belonging as they safely begin to explore their issues, concerns, and goals. Our practice also provides access to career counseling, corporate training, life and spiritual coaching, holistic health care, and massage therapy.

Meet Jeanette Williams, MS, LMFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Clinical Director
Jeanette holds licensure in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and received her BA from The New School for General Studies in New York City in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Creative Writing and Literature. She received her MS from Seton Hall University in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a trained Multisystemic, Contextual, and EMDR therapist. She is currently completing her doctoral studies @ Rutgers University in Organizational Psychology.
She has worked within the reentry field, assisting clients, couples and families to reintegrate into and within the community. She has also worked in the Intensive In-Home Community(IIC) arena within NYC and NJ, working with children and families struggling with complex challenges; trauma, bipolar, anxiety and other challenges based on complex trauma within the family system.
Jeanette has worked with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families in private practice, assisting clients in moving towards greater degrees of functionality within each individual's system.

Meet Catalina Colon, MA LAMFT, CTP
Catalina is a compassionate Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist(LAMFT) dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families on their journey to healing and growth. Catalina holds a certification as a Trauma Professional (CTP), bringing specialized expertise to her practice. She is also the Lead Clinician and Social Media Creator at Deeper Change, where she leads therapeutic initiatives and engages with the community through digital platforms.
In addition to her professional roles, Catalina plays many important roles in her personal life: she is a devoted wife, nurturing mother, supportive friend, advocate of mental health awareness, and trusted sounding board for those in need.
Her educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Montclair State University and an MA/MFT from Kean University. Her professional journey began with roles as an at-home ABA therapist, paraprofessional, and vocational specialist, where she honed her skills in assisting children and adolescents with learning disabilities. These early experiences deeply influenced her therapeutic approach, emphasizing empathy, understanding, and practical solutions.
With a focus on building strong therapeutic alliances, Catalina integrates her 'down-to-earth' personality, playfulness, and creativity into her sessions, particularly effective in engaging children. For individual and couple clients, Catalina directs her attention to assess the ‘readiness’ of their desire for change through direct questions and transparency. Meet Jophelle Pierre; Jophelle is a Licensed Associate MFT systemic therapist. She received her BA in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus as well as a Certification in Dance and her MA in Psychological Services and Professional Diploma in MFT at Kean University. As a first-generation immigrant, familiarity with cultural norms and expectations can be oftentimes misunderstood. Each individual has his/her own unique familial and cultural ways of engaging and navigating in relationships and handling marital issues, family conflicts, work stressors, and even our self-worth and self-care. Jophelle prides herself in assisting her clients in exploring and navigating the process of gaining better balance in a greater, healthier, and graceful manner in interpersonal relationships.
During her practice in the mental health field, Jophelle has worked with numerous couples, families, children, teenagers/adolescents, and older adults of various backgrounds. Her past experience working with clients with developmental issues such as Downs syndrome, autism, and schizophrenia in a direct care capacity have assisted her with understanding the needs that exist on a family level in terms of holistic care. Experience with working with victims of trauma and mental challenges such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and OCD have further informed her overall approach in assisting clients with growth and healing.
When working with clients, Jophelle likes to draw from an array of systemic modalities such as: structural therapy, narrative therapy, spiritual therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, and mindfulness to help clients overcome inner and outer conflicts, and become a better version of themselves. Communication can be expressed in many ways, whether it is verbal or non-verbal; through visual arts, body movement, and/or in writing. Meet Sharona Anderson, MA LMFT;
Sharona Anderson is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in both NJ and NY. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Human Services from Touro College and an MA in Professional Counseling with a focus on Marriage & Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide.
Sharona is passionate about guiding individuals, couples, and families toward healing and growth. Her journey to becoming a therapist began with her own experiences of pain and healing, fueling her deep empathy and understanding in helping others.
Her passion for systemic mental health stems from her years of classroom experience, volunteer work in shelters, ministry, and assisting incarcerated families. During her graduate studies, she interned in Wayne, NJ, where she provided therapy to children, adults, families, and couples dealing with challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, and conflict.
With expertise in individuals, family, and partner relationships, Sharona helps clients move from crisis to healing, fostering improved mental and emotional health. She draws from a faith-based perspective, integrating proven systemic methodologies. Her holistic approach includes inner child work, mindfulness, exploring the root cause of issues by looking at family systems, spirituality, and childhood attachments. Sharona strongly believes therapy is not a cookie-cutter approach, and that everyone's process and healing looks different. Meet Lauren A. Lima, M.A., LAMFT; Lauren is a Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of New Jersey . She is Certified-Trained in the EMDR technique. She received her B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy both from Kean University. She has worked with numerous populations in the consumer affairs realm before she became a preschool teacher at the start of her journey to becoming an MFT. Throughout her academic career, Lauren became impassioned with involvement in the field from an advocacy and activist perspective. Lauren became one of the founding members to Kean University’s Marriage & Family Therapy Program’s Student Support Group as a student liaison between cohorts and professors and now fills the role of NJAMFT Membership Committee Chairperson.
Her professional experience is fostered by her natural foundational ability to mediate, comprehend, and empathize with clients. Laurens professional therapeutic stance encompasses the potentiality of the ‘theory of change’ whilst providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families from diverse backgrounds coping with the complexities of grief and loss, trauma, managing conflict, and various other issues. Lauren does her best work by cultivating an understanding of generational patterns and the circumstances that have allowed or disallowed individuals to show up for themselves in their present state. She prides herself on the ability to help clients explore new endeavors to achieve optimal personal growth. Meet Catherine Glass: Catherine is a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years in the field and is a graduate of the Adelphi School of Social Work. Catherine possesses vast experience in the areas of human services, education, and mental health field. She has also studied with the Multicultural Institute, with a focus on intergenerational healing, family systems dynamics, and theory.
Catherine is vested in the overall health of her clients and strives to bring enhanced insight, awareness, and empowerment to clients and seeks to help clients create a revision of old stories into positive outcomes in the therapy room. Her belief is that ‘It’s all about perspective.’

Meet Martha Renza, MS, MSW
Martha Renza is a compassionate and empathic Bilingual Social Worker(MSW) who obtained her Master's degree from Kean University. She is a seasoned Communicator and Journalist who graduated from Santiago de Cali University in Colombia. She is also the author of various articles published in multiple media formats in Colombia and the United States. Because of her tenacity and resilience, Martha was chosen by Kean University as a motivational speaker to welcome college students after the pandemic. Likewise, she participated in a documentary for Netflix and Amazon Prime, “College Tours in Spanish” motivating others around determination and discipline to achieve their dreams.
During her professional training as a therapist, Martha has had the opportunity to work with Children, Adults, Couples, Adolescents, and Families with differing mental health challenges such as ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorders, Grief, and OCD, among others

Meet Julienn Guzman,
Julienn is pursuing her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Jersey City University and on her journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. As a first-generation graduate student, Julienn brings a fresh perspective in supporting those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Some of Julienns experience encompasses working with an expansive range of age groups in an emergency room hospital setting, developing treatment plans for those in need of mental health services. Julienn has also worked with victims of Hurricane Ida and Covid-19 as a Crisis Worker within the communities of Hudson, Union, and Bergen County, where she sought to assist those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety, and provided crisis intervention services, information on resources, and referrals for additional services. Lastly, Julienn has worked within the behavioral services arena, working with children between the ages of 2 to 15 years old with Autism as an ABA therapist at Growth Street and as a Direct Support Professional at Sierra House located in East Orange, NJ.
Julienn believes that each individual is unique in the way they choose to live and showcase their individual talents and abilities. Pauline David is a Licensed Professional Counselor(LPC) and a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor(NCC). Through firsthand experience in traveling to other countries, Pauline is sensitive to the significance of how culture shapes how we navigate life, make decisions, manage stress, and relate to others. Pauline received her BA in Psychology from CUNY – Medgar Evers College. As an intern, Pauline commenced her exploration into the addiction and severe mental health arena. While in her master’s program, she continued her internship experience with this population, working with elementary to high school students in both School Based Programs and Child Study Teams, utilizing Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing skills, paired with her down-to-earth personality. After obtaining her MS in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University, Pauline continued supporting a diverse range of clients by meeting them where they are; blending a variety of techniques such as CBT, trauma informed therapy, mindfulness and somatic techniques, Adlerian philosophy and psychoeducation; as needed in the room. Her role is to be the catalyst on your journey; to help you obtain answers to unanswered questions.
I have worked with addiction, trauma, severe mental illness, and clients moving through various life phases of self-development and growth. This has strengthened my humanistic approach in aiding clients in their healing and self-discovery journey. Meet Kelly Van Zandt, BA, MFTI:
Kelly is a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) graduate candidate @ Touro College. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families, and has a special interest in working with new mothers and parents as they navigate the adjustments that come with parenthood. Kelly supplements her learning in MFT through exploration of prenatal and perinatal studies, and is the author of the book for new mothers, “Powerful Postpartum(2021)”.
Kelly is a lifelong student of meditation and is a certified Vedic Counselor, which emphasizes the practice of self-awareness and authenticity. She considers the therapeutic progress toward mental clarity a cornerstone of well-being that has the ability to enhance inner and outer harmony in one’s life. Kelly works with clients to cultivate an ongoing practice of awareness and inner exploration, which helps identify and expand limiting narratives, perceptions, habits, and patterns to clear the path for self-discovery and internal freedom.

Meet Sydney MacDonald, MA, MFT, R-DMT:
Sydney is a graduate of Antioch University, with a degree in Couple and Family Therapy with a concentration in Dance/Movement Therapy. She received her BA in Health Science and Psychology from Quinnipiac University. Her background includes working with children four years and older, adolescents, families, and adults. She has worked in a variety of settings; including a community mental health center, a day center for adults with varying abilities, and a residential home for adolescents. Sydney uses a mixture of Expressive Arts (music, art, dance, etc.), Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, and Systemic Therapy in her practice.
In Sydney’s person-centered approach, she believes that it is vital to collaborate with her clients to create a process that fits and supports clients’ needs on a case-by-case basis. Her belief is; we are all uniquely crafted, and she seeks to identify the creative aspects that lie within us as expansive human beings. Creativity is a large portion of Sydney’s approach to counseling and her incorporation of movement, art, and music allows for clients to access their feelings/experiences in a new way. Meet Jennifer McCue BA., MA., Advanced Clinical Intern PC-I;
Jennifer holds a BA in Cultural Studies from SUNY Empire State College, an MA in history from Monmouth University, and is completing a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands.
As a former emergency medical technician, Jennifer's favorite part of the job was the opportunity to be there for people on their worst days. She took the time to listen, empathize, and advocate for them while they were in her care. As an outreach and advocacy volunteer with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Jennifer has mentored families whose children received a diagnosis of new-onset type 1 diabetes. Having a child with Type 1 Diabetes herself, Jennifer knew the struggles, fears, and challenges they would face firsthand, and compassionately guided them through their first year with the condition. In her continued advocacy work, Jennifer has spoken at public events with politicians and administrators on behalf of the Type 1 Diabetes community. As a parent to children with a variety of special needs, Jennifer is well-versed in the IEP and 504 processes in New Jersey. As a result, she has helped connect many local families to the resources needed to obtain the appropriate support for their children.
As a counselor, Jennifer believes that each client is the expert on their own life. Using a humanistic and narrative approach, Jennifer will collaborate with you to help you find your voice, embrace your authentic self, identify your values and strengths, and use them to solve current and future problems. Meet Kizzy Joseph, MA., Advanced Clinical Intern; MFT-I
Kizzy received her first Master’s from Columbia University in Psychology and Education with a Concentration in Spirituality and Mind-Body Practices and is obtaining her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University.
She is a mother, holistic wellness practitioner, and lover of music documentaries. As an MFT-I, Kizzy works with individuals, couples, and families, with a passion and emphasis on serving Black & Brown communities. Some of Kizzy’s clinical interests include: adolescent mental health, co-parenting, parent readiness for those desiring to become a parent, teen pregnancy/parenting, spirituality, empowering Black women and femmes in romantic partnerships and lives post-breakup, and finally, intergenerational cultural dissonance within Afro-Caribbean immigrant families.

Meet Juicia Rose MA., Advanced Clinical Intern, MFT-I
Juicia received her BA in Psychology from Montclair University, along with a Certificate in Leadership and is obtaining her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. Juicia is trained in the Milan Family Systems Theory and applies this insight, combined with practical experience to assess and address relational patterns, communication dynamics, and power structures within family systems.

Meet Nicole Prince, Advanced Clinical Intern - PC-I
Nicole provides counselling and therapy services to individuals, couples and families. She is passionate about helping families become healthy, happy, and functional. Nicole utilizes systemic approaches to therapy; working collaboratively with clients to determine the best method(s) for each person’s unique circumstances. She is completing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counselling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University. She also holds a Columbia Management Essentials Certificate and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.
As an ordained pastor and registered marriage officiant in NYC, her faith, respect, loyalty, compassion, and love for others underpins everything she does. During her decade of experience as an Elder at Restoration Christian Fellowship, Nicole provided spiritual guidance, emotional support, and led community outreach initiatives. With over 12 years in counselling ministry and 24 years in supervisory roles, Nicole also possesses extensive experience in leadership and client service.

Meet Antonio Gordan Advanced Clinical Intern Marriage & Family Therapist -MFTI
Antonio Gordon graduated from Brooklyn College with a BA in psychology and decided to continue his education at Touro University Worldwide, where he is obtaining his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. For the past seven years he worked as a care coordinator and then a mental health worker for a nonprofit organization, assisting unhoused members of society secure housing and regain dignity and agency over their lives.
Meeting and speaking to a diverse array of people yielding from a variety of demographic and socioeconomic statuses, Antonio has come to understand that it is truly commonality that exists amongst most people; and when we are open to understanding and accepting one another, we are all the better as humans. Vehemently, he grapples with the complexity of human relationships and how in a world with much unpredictability, we all have the ultimate right to seek and discover our own individual true purpose.
His passion has led him to research African spirituality and to study some of the great philosophers, such as Nietzsche, Kant, Heidegger, and Kierkegaard. Antonio believes in the power of goodness over all and how we can benefit society through our good works.

Meet Marilyn Feliciano Advanced Clinical Intern – MHC-I
Marilyn is completing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Jersey City University. Marilyn possesses clinical experience garnered while working with the substance use population whilst completing her internship at a local recovery center. She holds over six years of experience working within advocacy around mental health and education through the Mental Health Association of New Jersey. These experiences helped fuel Marilyn’s passion to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive care; particularly to underserved communities.
Marilyn utilizes a Strengths-Based Approach in her Counseling sessions and believes in recognizing and building on a person’s strengths, while maintaining a person-centered approach that values empathy, respect, and genuine care. Marilyn’s personal and family experiences have fueled her dedication to supporting the BIPOC community, assisting in accessing quality mental health care and creating a safe and affirming space for all clients.
Marilyn compares her therapeutic approach to that of a gardener; nurturing and providing the fundamentals; nourishment, attention and time; creating an environment in the therapy room wherein clients may grow and thrive at their own pace. She is committed to helping clients live authentically, aligning their actions with their values and aspirations.

Meet Adunni Britton Greene, MSW, LSW:
Adunni is a dedicated and experienced clinician who takes a holistic approach to meeting the
needs of her clients; integrating the mind, body, and spirit into her therapeutic practices. She
holds a BA from CUNY Hunter College, where she double-majored in Sociology and Women’s
Studies, and a Master’s in Social Work with a clinical concentration from Fordham University. As
a New Jersey Licensed Social Worker, Adunni possesses a broad range of expertise in
psychotherapy, child protection, domestic violence, foster care and adoption, hospice care, and
care management.
Her career began in Brooklyn, NY, where she worked in private practice, serving individuals,
families, couples, and groups. She then joined the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS),
one of the country’s most complex agencies, starting as a caseworker and advancing into a management role.
In this capacity, she led teams of Social Workers dedicated to safeguarding New
York City’s most vulnerable populations. After 12 years at ACS, Adunni broadened her scope of
work, treating individuals and families in various settings, including hospitals, community clinics,
and long-term care facilities. She has also managed teams of Nurses and Social Workers within
an HMO care management environment, providing services to medically fragile patients.
Adunni’s therapeutic approach is built on a foundation of integrating evidence-based modalities,
such as Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational
Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She supports her clients in achieving
balance and wholeness by addressing their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
With warm and engaging energy, Adunni brings a sense of humor and compassion into her
work, ensuring a supportive and individualized experience for each client. She places a strong
emphasis on cultural awareness, diversity, and inclusivity, aiming to empower her clients to live
their best lives.
